Diane Arbus

Long before Witkin was causing controversy, Arbus (1923-1971), nicknamed "the photographer of freaks", did some truely amazing work, always using the deviant and marginal, excluded or those conceaved as ugly or strange as her subject matter.

I love Arbus.
The pictures you posted are some of her finest work. The seven pictures are a great shot for a mind acostumized to think about intention and effect(two words frequently used by Diane).
My favourite one is "Eddie Carmel" that you didn't post. If you hadn't seen it, please find it. It's all about of what you see and what really is.
